Aura only rewards activity recorded by your iPhone, Apple Watch, or another device that writes genuine activity to Apple Health.
Steps entered by hand in the Health app do not earn coins. Otherwise Passive Income would be a text field instead of a reward for moving.
This does not affect steps recorded normally by your phone, watch, or a fitness app. If real activity is missing, read Apple Health says "No activity".
